Executive
Committee
Regarding
all the policies and major decisions this committee has full power
on behalf of the Diocesan Council. Officers of the council The
District Superintendent, Education Secretary, Secretary of the
Lahore Diocese Medical Board, President of the Women Fellowship,
Lahore Diocese Youth Organizer all are the ex-officious members of
the Executive Committee. There other elected clergy, laymen and
women are the members of this committee. At present they are in all
30 members.
Youth Committee
The tasks and the objectives of the Youth Committee are to see
and mobilize the youth work in the diocese. This committee consists
officious of the council, President, Vice President, Secretary and
Treasurer. Along with The Diocesan Youth Organizer, The Diocesan
Council elects seven to ten other people for this committee.
St.
Hilda’s Guest House Committee (1901)
This committee looks after the matters regarding St. Hilda’s
guesthouse. The officers of the Lahore Diocesan Council are the
ex-officious of the committee, Principle Cathedral School Hall Road,
Vicar of Cathedral Church, one of the representatives from the St.
Hilda’s residence and the warden of the St. Hilda’s.
Elen-Inglis
Home Committee
It
is a place where the homeless old ladies are being accommodated. The
committee of Elen Inglis consists of officious of the council
superintendent, Elen Inglis home vicar of St. John’s Chapel, one
other clergy and preferable two ladies from the council.
Socio-Economic
Development Committee
The
role of this committee is like think tank for the social and
economic development of the committee. Officers of the council are
the ex-officious of the community development. Seven to ten officers
from rural and urban areas and clergy the members of the
committee specially people with the vision of community development.
Evangelistic
Committee
This committee is responsible for the
evangelistic work in the diocese. Officers of the council are the
ex-officious members and consultants on evangelism to the Bishop of
Lahore, School Chaplain, Prison Chaplain and Directors of St.
Andrews Brotherhood along with seven to ten members of the Lahore
Diocese Council form this committee.
Clergy
and Ordination Committee
This
committee is responsible to look after the matters regarding the
clergy and the catechist officers of the council and other five to
six people comprising clergy and lity(?), male and female members of
the committee.
