The
Lahore Diocesan Board of Education is a body registered under the
Society's Act XXI of 1860. It has been running educational
institutions in the subcontinent since 1853. it established the
first school, i.e., St. Deny's School in Murree in the year 1880. A
year later, in 1881 a second School, Cathedral School was opened in
Lahore, Station School in Rawalpindi Cantonment was started in 1882.
After this many other schools were established. Over the years the
aim of The Lahore Diocesan Board of Education has been, to take
education to the door steps of people. it is a non profitable,
charitable organization and it runs its educational institutions
solely for the purpose of education and not for profit. Since the
purpose of The Lahore Diocesan Board of Education is not profit, it
runs schools, not only in big cities, but also in the small towns,
far flung villages and deprived areas.
