LAHORE   DIOCESAN   TRUST ASSOCIATION

The Lahore Diocesan Trust Association, commonly known as LDTA, is a Charitable Trust limited by Guarantee, incorporated in Pakistan in 1942, having its registered office at 3 Mission Road, Lahore. It hold al the properties, which are spread all over Pakistan and are located in all the provinces of Pakistan.  Whereas LDTA manages its properties directly, wherever such properties are located, it also gives Power of Attorneys to various person, to manage, on behalf of the LDTA, its properties for the evangelism and mission of the Church. However, these Power of Attorneys do not give powers to sell or change the nature of the properties, without the permission of the LDTA.    

 As per the constitution of the LDTA, the Executive Committee of the Lahore Diocesan Council is the General Body of the LDTA, which, every year elects the Managing Committee of the LDTA, which further elects its officers (President, Secretary and Treasurer). The Memorandum of Association inter-alia lays down that it will aid the work of the Church of Pakistan in the Diocese of Lahore and its former parts held before the Church Union in 1970. It is further laid down in its constitution that it can acquire land, build buildings, use them whether with in the Diocese of Lahore or not. This implies its jurisdiction to work or manage properties is not bounded by any geographical limits.
